FIRST STAGE OF THE GRANT PROJECT SUPPORTED BY UNDP IMPLEMENTED

We are pleased to announce that within the framework of our Foundation’s grant project “Physiotherapy Equipment for the Rehabilitation of War Victims,” we have purchased two devices for the “Regional Clinical Center of Neurosurgery” in Uzhhorod, which provides rehabilitation services to those affected by the war in Ukraine.

Specifically:

A Physioled Therma diathermy device, which stimulates the body’s natural physiological response to pathology and accelerates recovery processes.
A Physioled Onda shockwave therapy device, which is used to treat musculoskeletal disorders and stimulates tissue biostimulation.

The total cost of the devices is approximately 1 million UAH.

The Regional Clinical Center of Neurosurgery and Neurology has established a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team of 25 doctors from various specialties. They specialize in the medical rehabilitation of patients with nervous system and musculoskeletal injuries and provide more than 100 services per month.

The range of injuries and conditions among patients is growing, necessitating high-quality modern medical equipment, as well as the acquisition of new skills and deeper knowledge by the doctors.

As part of our project, in addition to delivering rehabilitation equipment, we plan to conduct training for doctors in neurophysiology, electroneuromyography, and musculoskeletal ultrasound diagnostics. This training will involve highly qualified experts and will include theoretical and practical sessions, seminars, and workshops.

This will enable patients to receive higher-quality rehabilitation services, helping them to alleviate pain more quickly, adapt to physiological changes, improve their functionality, or even return to their normal lives.

The stories of those affected by the war, their strength and resilience, touch everyone. They have endured the impossible, overcome pain and hardship, but they have not given up. Their lives have changed significantly, but they continue to fight every day.

Our important task now is to support these individuals and help them quickly regain joy and return to a full life.
