REHABILITATION COURSE FOR DANYLO SKOROMNYI (42,250 UAH)

13.06.2025

We recently paid for a rehabilitation course for Danylo Skoromnyi at the “Step by Step” center. The course cost 42,250 UAH and was completed in June this year. This is not the first stage of support for Danylo, and we are happy to see positive progress.

Diagnosis: Autism
Date of birth: May 21, 2015

Danylo has been living with autism spectrum disorder since the age of three. Sadly, that is not the only challenge in his life. In the summer of 2022, he lost his father because of the full-scale war. This had a big impact on his emotional state.

Now Danylo lives with his mother, Khrystyna, who raises him alone and does everything possible to continue his therapy and support.

According to specialists, children with autism need 4–5 rehabilitation courses per year for stable results. But each course is quite expensive.

“Thanks to this course, Danylo has become more independent. He listens to me better, and he has fewer meltdowns. Now he can wait a little while when I’m talking to someone or shopping — before, this was impossible. And most importantly, he asks for the phone less. For us, this is a big step forward,” says Khrystyna.

Autism is not a sentence. It’s a special path that needs constant attention, support, and patience.
Thanks to such rehabilitation programs, children adapt better, learn to communicate, study, and grow — each at their own pace, but with hope for the future.

Thank you to everyone who supports our fundraising. You are part of the change in Danylo’s life.

This project was made possible through a fundraising campaign on the platform dobro.ua.
